AudioRoot TINY-C USB-C PPS Battery Charger

The AudioRoot TINY-C is a compact charger for AudioRoot eSMART Li-xxWh and NEO smart batteries. Connected to a compatible USB-C PPS power supply, it charges one battery at up to 4.0 A. During charging, the TINY-C monitors battery data and controls the power supply to deliver the required charging voltage and current.

The blue OLED display shows charging current, battery voltage, state of charge as a percentage, cycle count and estimated remaining charging time. Its compact format makes it easy to carry alongside other power accessories in a sound bag or equipment case.

Selectable charge limit

A push button lets you set the target charge level to 100%, 80%, 60% or 30%. Select 100% for maximum runtime, or a lower level when a full charge is unnecessary. AudioRoot recommends 80% to reduce stress on the battery cells and 60% for extended storage.

The TINY-C does not discharge the battery. If the battery is already above the selected limit, charging stops. Selecting a 30% limit will therefore not reduce a battery already charged to 60%.

USB-C power supply requirements

Use a USB-C power supply supporting USB Power Delivery 3.0 or later and PPS across the full 5.0 to 20.0 V range. The specified minimum power rating is 65 W. AudioRoot recommends a compatible supply rated at 100 W or more for best compatibility and charging speed.

USB-C PD power supplies offering only fixed voltage profiles are unsuitable. This also applies to PPS supplies limited to lower voltages. Check the PPS range of the USB-C output you intend to use; the power supply’s total wattage alone does not establish compatibility.
