Bubblebee The Windkiller XS

The Windkiller XS is a long-haired plug-on windshield for compact microphones. It slides directly onto the microphone and helps reduce wind noise during outdoor recording. This version has an internal length of 55 mm and fits microphones with a diameter of ø18–24 mm.

The internal length refers to the microphone section covered by the windshield, rather than the microphone's overall length.

XS or XS Big Mount?

Both versions have an internal length of 55 mm. This standard XS fits ø18–24 mm microphones. The Windkiller XS Big Mount has a larger mounting opening for ø23–26 mm microphones, including the Sennheiser MKH 30, MKH 40 and MKH 50.

Long-haired or Short-haired?

The long-haired version provides greater wind protection. For moderate wind, the Windkiller XS Short-haired is a more compact alternative.
