Hawk-Woods DV-SQNR Mini DV Stand-Alone Power Adaptor

The Hawk-Woods DV-SQNR converts the voltage of a suitable Sony NP-F battery into a regulated 12 V output. Power is delivered through a fixed 30 cm lead fitted with a 4-pin Hirose connector.

The built-in step-up converter raises battery voltage to 12 V. This distinguishes the DV-SQNR from the standard DV-SQN, which passes battery voltage directly to the equipment without regulation. The DV-SQNR is intended for equipment with a suitable 12 V power input and matching Hirose connection.

Compatibility and Charging

Hawk-Woods identifies the DV-F970 and Sony NP-F battery series as compatible power sources. For the connected equipment, check the required supply voltage, wiring and power consumption as well as the connector.

The DV-MC2 dual-channel charger and DV-MC4 four-channel charger are available separately for charging suitable NP-F batteries. The DV-SQNR supplies power and does not charge the battery.

• DV-SQN: a version without the 12 V converter, using a 45 cm lead to supply unregulated battery voltage.
• DV-SQN2S: a version with two additional switched Hirose auxiliary connections and a regulated 12 V Hirose flying lead.
• DV-SQN4S: a two-battery version with four regulated 12 V chassis outputs switched in pairs and an unregulated flying lead.
