NoiseAssist is a software license for the Sound Devices 888 that reduces background noise during recording, such as traffic, ventilation or generator noise behind dialogue. This version provides 2 instances to process two signals separately.

Compatibility and use

For the 888. Additional channels 17–20 provided by the ISO 4 plugin do not support NoiseAssist.

The license is tied to one recorder and cannot be transferred to another recorder. NoiseAssist reduces background noise; it is not designed to remove clothing rustle from a lavalier microphone.
