Lectrosonics IFBT20

The Lectrosonics IFBT20 is a UHF dual-channel IFB rack transmitter in a half-rack format, designed as the successor to the IFBT4. It combines two fully independent transmitters in a single compact unit and serves as a central transmission platform for IFB, intercom and point-to-point audio applications.

The IFBT20 supports both IFB and Digital Hybrid Wireless® compatibility modes, allowing seamless integration with IFBR1-series receivers, Digital Hybrid systems and modern digital receivers. This ensures compatibility with existing setups and workflows.

The two audio channels operate independently, each with its own frequency, RF power and input configuration. This enables simultaneous transmission of multiple signals within a compact rack setup. Two units can be combined in 1RU for increased channel density.

The unit offers extensive connectivity, including analog mic and line inputs, AES3 digital audio and Dante audio-over-IP. ClearCom and RTS intercom signals are also supported. Inputs are protected against DC on the lines and are suitable for “wet” signal environments.

Each RF output includes a circulator/isolator that prevents external RF signals from entering the transmitter, significantly reducing intermodulation products and improving performance in complex RF environments.

Operation is handled via a large backlit LCD and tactile push buttons. Configuration, monitoring and firmware updates are managed through Wireless Designer software via USB-C or Ethernet. Fast setup with receivers is available through the built-in IR port.
