Sanken CO-100K

Sanken CO-100K Omnidirectional Microphone
The Sanken CO-100K is the world’s first microphone capable of capturing frequencies up to 100 kHz, designed for actual music and sound recording rather than measurement. Developed in cooperation with NHK’s Science & Technical Research Laboratories, it delivers an exceptionally wide frequency response from 20 Hz to 100 kHz. This allows the CO-100K to capture not only the audible spectrum but also overtones and nuances beyond human hearing, making it especially suitable for classical music, acoustic instruments, and sound design.
