Sanken CSS-5

Sanken CSS-5 Stereo Shotgun Microphone
The Sanken CSS-5 is a stereo shotgun microphone offering three selectable modes: Mono, Stereo (120°) and Wide Stereo (140°). In Mono mode, it provides sharp directivity through a combination of line and second-gradient microphones, capturing clear sound even in noisy or reverberant spaces. In Stereo mode, the CSS-5 delivers accurate localization with a natural stereo image, while the Wide mode is designed for ambient sound effects and environmental recording with added spaciousness. This versatility makes the CSS-5 suitable for film, television, and field production.
