Sonosax R4+ Dante Option Card

Sonosax SX-R4 Plus DANTE option board

This internal expansion board connects the Sonosax SX-R4+ to a Dante audio network. The Ethernet connection carries network audio and supports PoE, allowing the recorder to be powered through the same cable. The board also supports AES67.

Main Features

• Send and receive network audio, with routing through Dante Controller.
• Independent Dante and recorder clock domains linked through ASRC.
• With SX-R4+ firmware 4.1: up to 16 recording channels through Dante at sample rates up to 96 kHz, or eight at 192 kHz.
• Input and output channels can operate simultaneously and are assigned in channel pairs.

• Dante sample rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz.
• Ethernet: 100/1000 Mbps.
• PoE: IEEE 802.3af, Class 1.
• AES67 support.

Compatibility and Installation

Specifically designed for the Sonosax SX-R4+. Sonosax specifies factory installation for this option. The recorder accommodates one internal option; the Dante board cannot be installed alongside the 4CH OUT option card or the AMBEO 12-pin connector.

Firmware 4.1 is required for the channel capacity described above. This board differs from the Dante option card for the SX-AD8+.
