AudioRoot eSMART TRIO

The AudioRoot eSMART TRIO is a power distributor with three TA4M power inputs, eight DC outputs and two USB power outputs. It allows multiple smart batteries to be combined, or an external power supply to be used with battery backup. Hot swapping lets you change a power source while another connected source continues powering the equipment.

Three OLED displays provide system and individual battery information. The colour OLED shows combined status, estimated runtime, current draw and fault messages. Two blue OLED displays present individual battery information such as capacity, temperature, cycle count and cell voltages.

Compatibility and Powering

Supports AudioRoot smart batteries and compatible 2054-style smart batteries. Suitable lithium-ion models include the Li-48neo, Li-49Wh, Li-96neo and Li-98Wh. Available output capacity depends on the connected power sources; AudioRoot recommends two Li-96neo batteries for full current capability.

Smart communication requires four-conductor battery cables, such as the eTA4F-OUT-4W. The DUO-PSU can power the TRIO from mains electricity. A suitable USB-C PD power supply and ePSB-TA4F provide another external-power configuration.

Firmware 1.1 and later also support conventional batteries, with information limited to voltage display. The front-panel USB-A and USB-C connections are power outputs.

Other Power Distributors

The eSMART DUO provides two smart inputs and six Hirose outputs in a smaller housing. The eSMART BG-DH MKII has one smart battery input. For a sound cart requiring more switched outputs, consider the eSMART K-ART.
