Bubblebee The Windkiller XS Short-haired

The Windkiller XS Short-haired is a short-haired plug-on windshield for compact microphones. It slides directly onto the microphone and helps reduce wind noise during outdoor recording in moderate wind. This version has an internal length of 55 mm and fits microphones with a diameter of ø18–24 mm.

The internal length refers to the microphone section covered by the windshield, rather than the microphone's overall length.

Short-haired or Long-haired?

The short-haired version is intended for moderate wind and has a more compact profile. For greater wind protection, choose the long-haired Windkiller XS, which has the same internal length and suitable microphone diameter.

Standard or Big Mount?

This version has a standard opening for ø18–24 mm microphones. The long-haired Windkiller XS Big Mount has a larger mounting opening for ø23–26 mm microphones, including the Sennheiser MKH 30, MKH 40 and MKH 50.
