Bubblebee BBI-WK-XL

Bubblebee The Windkiller XL

The Windkiller XL is a long-haired plug-on microphone windshield. It slides directly onto the microphone and helps reduce wind noise during outdoor recording. This version has an internal length of 180 mm and fits microphones with a diameter of ø18–24 mm.

Main Features

• Long-haired faux fur for outdoor wind protection.
• Different hair lengths help slow the airflow before it reaches the microphone.
• Plug-on mounting: slides directly onto the microphone without a separate windshield basket.
• The rubber mount holds the windshield on the microphone.
• Greater wind protection than the short-haired version in the same size.

Long-haired or Short-haired?

The long-haired version provides greater wind protection. For moderate wind, the Windkiller XL Short-haired is a more compact alternative.

Big Mount versions have a larger mounting opening. Choose the size using both the microphone diameter and the required coverage length.
