The Schoeps ORTF-3D Outdoor Set is an eight-channel microphone set for recording spatial ambience with height information. Article 176201 is the suspended version, with the mounting point and cable outlet at the top.

Eight-Channel 3D Recording

The set contains four CCM 41 L and four CCM 41V L supercardioid microphones. The ORTF-3D arrangement combines four channels for the horizontal sound field with four height channels. Applications include sports coverage, film sound and immersive ambience recording.

Wind Protection and Cabling

The WSC ORTF-3D windshield contains elastic microphone suspensions, internal wiring, a fur cover and integrated heating. Two K Surround 5 M multicore cables carry the eight microphone signals to the included breakout cables. The PS-H power supply powers the heating.
