Supercardioid Colette microphone capsule for dialogue recording and use as a spot microphone for instruments. Its directivity remains consistent across a wide frequency range, helping to limit coloration of sound arriving off-axis.

Directivity and placement

The MK 41 has a rear pickup lobe. Maximum rejection occurs at approximately 125° from the front axis; avoid positioning a loudspeaker directly behind the microphone.
