The Schoeps B 5 is a solid foam pop screen for microphones with a diameter of 20 mm. It reduces plosive sounds during speech at normal speaking distances and is suitable for cardioid and other directional microphones.

With omnidirectional capsules, the B 5 can also be used outdoors for protection against light wind. This wind protection does not apply equally to directional microphones, which are more sensitive to airflow.
