The Lectrosonics UFM230 is an active UHF filter/amplifier module with a 230 MHz passband (470–700 MHz), designed for antenna systems requiring long cable runs or distribution to multiple receivers. Two ceramic resonator filters at the input provide filtering, followed by a GaAsFET RF amplifier with 12 dB gain. The gain can be adjusted to +8 dB or +5 dB using the supplied attenuators. The module is powered via an external DC source (8–16 VDC) or via DC bias on the RF output, such as from a multicoupler or BIAS-T. The housing is made of cast aluminum with rugged BNC connectors.
