The Schoeps B 55 D is a double version of the B 5 D pop filter, designed for use with microphones with a 20 mm diameter, such as the Schoeps CMC series. This pop filter provides effective protection against plosive sounds in speech recordings at close range and also serves as protection against light wind or handling noise when used on a boom arm. The foam surrounds an air volume around the microphone capsule, similar to a windscreen basket, and is mounted on a plastic holder that securely fits the microphone, preventing the foam from touching the microphone and effectively reducing handling noise.

Features:

  • Compatible with microphones with a 20 mm diameter, such as the Schoeps CMC series
  • Effective as a pop filter for speech recordings at close range
  • Provides protection against light wind or handling noise on a boom arm
  • Minimal sound quality loss with good protection
  • Length: 70 mm; Diameter: 50 mm (maximum)
  • Gray velvet-like finish
