The Schoeps CCM 4VP K is a compact side-address cardioid condenser microphone designed for speech at distances below 20 cm. The capsule and microphone amplifier are integrated into one housing. The K version has a fixed 5 meter cable with an XLR-3M connector for connection to a microphone input supplying phantom power.

Designed for close speech pickup

With a directional microphone, low frequencies increase as the speaker moves closer. The CCM 4VP K incorporates moderate low-frequency attenuation to compensate for this proximity effect. At greater distances, the sound becomes thinner.
