The Schoeps HSC 4VP (Signature X) is an integrated commentator headset. It combines Ultrasone Signature X headphones with a CCM 4VP cardioid microphone mounted on a gooseneck, allowing positioning directly in front of the mouth.

Close Speech Pickup

The 4VP version has a low-frequency roll-off that compensates for proximity effect during close speech pickup. Schoeps recommends this version for commentators in an enclosed booth or a similarly sheltered environment, where moderate compensation is sufficient.

Connections and Pop Protection

A single cable leaves the headset and splits into a 3-pin male XLR microphone output and a 6.3 mm stereo headphone plug. The included B 5 popscreen reduces plosive noise. For greater protection against wind and plosives, the B 5 D [170108] is available separately.
