The Schoeps MK 2 matched pair [131001mp] consists of two small-diaphragm condenser microphone capsules from the Colette series, with true pressure (omnidirectional) pickup pattern. These capsules are matched and delivered with a certificate. The capsules are free-field equalised and provide a flat frequency response for frontal sound, making them suitable for relatively close miking.

Even though these are omnis, orientation still matters at higher frequencies. The MK 2 is also long used for measurement applications due to its predictable response.
