The Schoeps MK 8 is a Colette microphone capsule with a figure-eight pattern and side-address pickup. Combined with other microphones, it is used for M/S, double M/S and Blumlein stereo. A microphone amplifier is required separately.

The capsule is sensitive to wind, breath noise and solid-borne sound. Use suitable wind protection and suspension for the chosen setup.
