The Schoeps ORTF Surround Outdoor Set with Heating is a four-channel microphone set for outdoor surround ambience recording, including sports events and film production. It contains four CCM 41 L supercardioid microphones [121017] in a windshield system with elastic suspensions and internal heating.

Four-Channel Surround Recording

The ORTF Surround arrangement captures the surrounding environment. Its spatial imaging relies on arrival-time and level differences between the four microphones. The arrangement provides four separate audio channels.

Wind Protection and Connections

The WSC ORTF Surround H windshield contains the microphone suspensions, internal wiring, a fur cover and heating. The included K Surround 5 M multicore cable is 5 meter long. The AK Surround H M/4U splitter routes the four microphone signals to individual XLR outputs and provides the connection for the heating supply. The PS-H power supply is included.
