The Schoeps PAD 10 C is a passive attenuator placed between the MK capsule and the CMC preamplifier of Schoeps Colette modules. This attenuator reduces the sound level by approximately 10 dB, which is useful for recording very loud sound sources or in high sound pressure level situations. The PAD 10 C increases the maximum sound pressure limit by about 10 dB, preventing microphone overload.
