The Schoeps RC 700 KC 0,5 is a 700 mm active extension tube fitted between an MK capsule and a CMC microphone amplifier. Its slim profile allows the capsule to be positioned above or between instruments without a large microphone body in view.

This version connects to the CMC amplifier through a 50 cm cable, allowing the amplifier to be positioned separately from the lower end of the tube. The joint at the capsule end provides an adjustable pickup angle from 0° to 120°.
