Schoeps Stereo-Set CMC 6, MK 2 [139001]

The Schoeps Stereo-Set CMC 6, MK 2 contains two complete Colette microphones with matched MK 2 omnidirectional capsules and CMC 6 U microphone amplifiers. It comes with a matching certificate, two stand clamps, two foam pop screens and a wooden storage case.

Applications

The MK 2 capsules are free-field equalized, providing a flat frequency response for frontally arriving sound. They suit instrument recording at relatively short distances.

For A/B stereo, the microphones are placed apart. Microphone spacing and distance from the sound source help determine stereo width and the balance between direct sound and room acoustics. Although the capsules are omnidirectional, their orientation still matters at high frequencies.
