MixAssist is an automixing license for the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II. During recordings with multiple microphones, it lowers the level of microphones that are not in use. This helps reduce background noise and comb filtering caused by multiple open microphones.
Features
- Automatic level allocation for conversations using multiple microphones.
- Processes post-fader signals feeding the L/R mix; pre-fader ISO recordings remain unaffected.
- Last-mic lock-on keeps the most recently used microphone open.
- Supports 44.1, 47.952, 48 and 48.048 kHz and 24-bit or 32-bit float recording.
Compatibility and use
This version is ordered for the MixPre-6 II. MixAssist can run alongside NoiseAssist, which is available as a separate license. MixAssist is unavailable while the Musician or Ambisonics plugin is active.
