NoiseAssist is a software license for the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II that reduces background noise during recording, such as traffic, ventilation or generator noise behind dialogue. This version provides 2 instances to process two signals separately.

Compatibility and use

This license is for the MixPre-6 II, not a first-generation MixPre. NoiseAssist can run alongside MixAssist, but cannot be used simultaneously with the Musician or Ambisonics plugin. Two instances can process two channels, two buses, or one channel and one bus.

The license is tied to one recorder and cannot be transferred to another recorder. NoiseAssist reduces background noise; it is not designed to remove clothing rustle from a lavalier microphone.
