The Schoeps CCM 2 K is a compact omnidirectional condenser microphone with an integrated capsule and microphone amplifier. The K version has a fixed 5 meter cable with an XLR-3M connector for connection to a microphone input supplying phantom power.

Designed for direct sound

The CCM 2 K has a flat frequency response for sound arriving directly from the front of the capsule. This free-field equalization suits situations dominated by direct sound, such as close recordings of singers or instruments, or recordings in acoustically dry rooms.

At high frequencies, even an omnidirectional microphone becomes somewhat directional. Capsule orientation therefore still affects the sound.
