The Schoeps CCM 4 K is a compact cardioid condenser microphone with an integrated capsule and microphone amplifier. The K version has a fixed 5 meter cable with an XLR-3M connector for connection to a microphone input supplying phantom power.

The cardioid polar pattern reduces sensitivity to sound arriving from the rear. Consistent directionality across a broad frequency range limits tonal coloration of off-axis sound.

The CCM 4 K can serve as a spot microphone or as part of a stereo setup. Two cardioid microphones can be used for XY or ORTF. In MS stereo, the CCM 4 provides the Mid channel, combined with a separate figure-8 microphone for the Side channel.
