The Schoeps MK 21 is a small diaphragm condenser microphone capsule with a wide cardioid polar pattern. This capsule combines the benefits of an omnidirectional and a cardioid microphone, resulting in a warm and natural sound with a subtle directional sensitivity. The frequency response of the MK 21 is very consistent across the entire spectrum, capturing both direct sound and laterally incoming sound and reflections without coloration.
