The Schoeps MK 22 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone capsule from the modular Colette series. Its open cardioid polar pattern lies between the MK 4 cardioid and the MK 21 wide cardioid. A separate microphone amplifier is required to operate the capsule.

Applications

The MK 22 suits soloists and spot microphone applications. It can also serve as the mid microphone in an M/S arrangement with a separate figure-eight microphone. Two MK 22 capsules can be used for stereo recording with spacing between the microphones.
