The Schoeps CCM 41V L is a compact supercardioid condenser microphone for music and speech recording. Its capsule and microphone amplifier are integrated into a single body. The side-address design facilitates placement in compact stereo arrays by reducing interference between the microphone bodies.

The polar pattern remains consistent across a broad frequency range, helping preserve tonal balance as a sound source moves off axis. The CCM 41V L can serve as a spot microphone or main microphone, including the sideways-facing supercardioid channels in OCT arrays.

Connection and Powering

The supplied K 5 LU connects the microphone to an input on a recorder, mixer or preamplifier providing P12 or P48 phantom power. The detachable Lemo connection is secured by a screw locking mechanism. P12 and P48 are separate powering standards; the microphone is not designed for arbitrary supply voltages between 12 and 48 V.

Alternative Version

The CCM 41V K offers the same supercardioid pattern and side-address orientation with a permanently attached 5 m cable terminating in XLR3M. The CCM 41V L described here uses a detachable Lemo cable.
