The Schoeps MK 4VXP [131705] is a cardioid microphone capsule from the Colette series with a side-address (vertical) pickup axis, specifically designed for extreme close speech pickup. An additional low-frequency roll-off makes this capsule suitable for very short working distances (down to approx. 10 cm), where the proximity effect compensates low frequencies while background noise is strongly attenuated.
