Schoeps MK 4XP [131707]

The Schoeps MK 4XP [131707] is a cardioid microphone capsule from the Colette series designed for very close speech pickup (less than 10 cm), i.e. directly in front of the speaker’s mouth. Its built-in low-frequency roll-off reduces low frequencies from more distant sound sources, while proximity effect compensates that roll-off in close use. This helps the speaker to be picked up more strongly than background sound.
