The Schoeps Mono-Set CMC 6, MK 8 combines an MK 8 figure-eight capsule with a CMC 6 U microphone amplifier. The set includes one complete Colette microphone with an analog XLR output, stand clamp, wind protection and a wooden storage case.

Applications

The MK 8 is side-addressed, with its pickup axis perpendicular to the microphone body. Red and black dots identify the two opposing pickup directions. The capsule has a symmetrical figure-eight polar pattern.

This microphone can provide the side channel in an M/S arrangement with a separate mid microphone. Blumlein stereo requires a second figure-eight microphone. This mono set contains one microphone.
