Schoeps Stereo-Set CMC 6xt, MK 21 [139103]

The Schoeps Stereo-Set CMC 6xt, MK 21 contains two matched MK 21 wide cardioid capsules and two CMC 6xt microphone amplifiers. This combination provides a frequency range of 30 Hz to 44 kHz. The set includes a matching certificate, stand clamps, wind protection and a wooden storage case.

Applications

The wide cardioid capsules suit main-pair ensemble recording where room acoustics are part of the recording. Spacing between the microphones provides the required stereo differences. The MK 21 does not offer sufficient directivity for XY stereo.

The extended high-frequency response of the CMC 6xt is useful for recording at high sample rates, particularly when audio will subsequently be slowed down or lowered in pitch for sound design.
