The Schoeps Mono-Set CMC 6xt, MK 8 combines an MK 8 capsule with a CMC 6xt U microphone amplifier. Together they form an analog microphone with a figure-eight pattern and side-address pickup. The set contains one microphone; M/S or Blumlein stereo requires additional microphones.

Use

The red dot marks the capsule's 0° pickup direction. For M/S recording, it points to the left when viewed from behind the microphone. The MK 8 is sensitive to wind, breath noise and solid-borne sound; select wind protection and suspension suitable for the setup.
