The 833 is a compact 8-channel mixer-recorder with six mic/line inputs, offering extensive routing, recording, and mixing capabilities. It features dedicated faders, trim knobs, and PFL switches, and supports AES3 digital audio on 3 XLR inputs. The hardware and firmware are based on the Scorpio platform.

It includes a 256 GB internal SSD and two SD card slots for simultaneous recording. Automixing is supported via MixAssist and Dugan. Control is possible via USB-A or USB-C using the SD-Remote app. Power is supplied via L-mount batteries, external DC (10–18 V), or AC adapter.
