Schoeps Mono-Set CMC 1 U, MK 5 [138219]

The Schoeps Mono-Set CMC 1 U, MK 5 combines the MK 5 switchable capsule with the compact CMC 1 U microphone amplifier. The microphone has a balanced XLR output and operates on P12 or P48 phantom power.

A mechanical sliding switch on the capsule selects omnidirectional or cardioid operation. In omni mode, the MK 5 operates as a true pressure transducer without proximity effect. In cardioid mode, it provides directional pickup and attenuates sound from the rear. This allows the microphone to accommodate instruments, vocals, speech and different recording distances without changing the capsule.

Using the pattern switch

Set the switch fully to either omni or cardioid. Intermediate positions do not provide a defined polar pattern.
