AudioRoot eSMART K-ART

The AudioRoot eSMART K-ART is a power distribution system for compact and medium-sized sound carts. Two battery inputs supply sixteen DC outputs and four isolated USB ports. An ideal-diode circuit combines the power sources and allows a battery to be changed while the other source continues supplying the equipment.

Two OLED fuel gauges display the status of both sources. The K-ART reads battery information directly from eSMART batteries. With conventional batteries, internal coulomb counters and a calibration routine track capacity, consumption and estimated remaining runtime.

Compatibility and Powering

Supports SLA, NiMH, lithium-ion and LiFePO4 sources within the 9–18 V DC range. AudioRoot smart battery information requires a suitable four-conductor cable. The eXLR4-OUT-4W is one option for lithium-ion batteries.

Compatible eSMART power sources include the Li-48neo, Li-49Wh, Li-96neo and Li-98Wh. Larger energy sources include the LiFe-256Wh, LiFe-640Wh and BC1150 battery combiner, connected using suitable power and data cables.

The separately available K-ART PSU-16V provides mains power.

Regulator Modules and Other Power Distributors

Optional isolated DC/DC modules can provide fixed-voltage power on selected outputs. AudioRoot offers 12V modules rated at 20 or 30 W for XLR outputs 1 and 2, and 12W 12V modules for Hirose output groups 4 and 5. These modules are not part of the standard configuration.

The eSMART DUO and eSMART TRIO are smaller options for sound bags. The eSMART BG-DU provides universal battery monitoring with eight outputs.
