The Schoeps CCM 4V K is a compact side-address cardioid condenser microphone. The capsule and microphone amplifier are integrated into one housing. The K version has a fixed 5 meter cable with an XLR-3M connector for connection to a microphone input supplying phantom power.

For music and speech

A gentle high-frequency emphasis around 10 kHz supports speech intelligibility and gives the CCM 4V a slightly brighter character than the CCM 4. Its directional response remains consistent even at higher frequencies.

The side-address orientation facilitates compact stereo arrangements where microphone bodies would otherwise get in each other's way. Two microphones can be used for XY or ORTF. In MS stereo, the CCM 4V provides the Mid channel alongside a separate figure-8 microphone for the Side channel.
