The Schoeps Mono Set KMIT + CMC 1 U combines the KMIT shotgun capsule with the compact CMC 1 U microphone amplifier. Together they form a modular shotgun microphone with a balanced analog XLR3M output. The set includes a microphone clamp, foam windscreen and wooden storage case.

Derived from the CMIT series, the KMIT combines strong directionality with low coloration of sound arriving from the sides. Directivity increases gradually at higher frequencies. Its integrated steep low-cut filter reduces low-frequency disturbances during boom operation.

Connection and Compatibility

The CMC 1 U connects via XLR3M to a microphone input providing suitable phantom power. The amplifier also supports other Schoeps MK capsules and active Colette accessories. The supplied KMIT can be combined with other Colette amplifiers; frequency range, filtering and maximum SPL depend on the amplifier used.

Alternative Version

The Mono Set KMIT + CMD 42, article 138841, is the digital version with AES42 output, digital signal processing and a frequency range extending to 40 kHz. It requires suitable AES42 connectivity and powering. This CMC 1 U set delivers an analog microphone signal via XLR3M.
