The Schoeps MSTC 7 is a two-channel Colette microphone amplifier for ORTF stereo recording. Two MK 4 cardioid capsules mount onto its T-shaped body. This version is supplied without capsules and is suitable when you already own a matching pair.

The fixed geometry places the capsules 170 mm apart at an angle of 110°. Capsule spacing and angle therefore require no adjustment during setup. With two MK 4 capsules, the assembly can serve as a main stereo microphone for ensembles and choirs or as a stereo spot microphone.

Connection

The included AK SU/2U breakout cable splits the XLR5 output into two XLR3M connections. Connect these to two microphone inputs supplying suitable phantom power.

Version with Capsules

The MSTC 74 [139901] includes the same MSTC 7 amplifier, plus two matched MK 4 capsules and a matching certificate.
