The Sound Devices XL-B14500 is a set of 2 rechargeable 3.7 V lithium-ion 14500 batteries. Each battery has a capacity of 1200 mAh and an energy rating of 4.4 Wh. The batteries are specifically designed for the Sound Devices Astral TX (A20-TX) and Astral Mini Plus. The XL-B14500 batteries can be recharged directly in these transmitters and include built-in protection against excessive current draw.

The Astral TX can operate with one, two or three XL-B14500 batteries. The Astral Mini Plus supports one or two XL-B14500 batteries. When multiple batteries are installed, individual batteries can be replaced during operation without interrupting transmission.
