Schoeps CMD 42 [132210] – Digital Microphone Amplifier for Colette Series

The Schoeps CMD 42 is a digital microphone amplifier for all MK capsules from the Colette series. Unlike analog amplifiers, the CMD 42 converts the signal directly into the digital domain via an AES42 interface (modes 1 and 2), supporting sample rates up to 192 kHz. It offers extensive DSP features and can be controlled acoustically via the free Schoeps Remote App.

Thanks to its digital output, the signal is fully immune to cable interference. The CMD 42 also offers extremely low self-noise in the ultrasonic range, which is valuable for sound design, pitch shifting, or high-resolution recording. It can output both a processed and unprocessed signal simultaneously, for safety or stereo backup.

The CMD 42 is compatible with all Schoeps MK capsules and Colette accessories. It works with digital transmitters such as the Sound Devices Astral TX, Zaxcom TRX743, and Zaxcom TRX745.

For configuration and control, the free Schoeps Remote App is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
