AudioRoot eSMART Li-98Wh

The AudioRoot eSMART Li-98Wh is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a nominal voltage of 14.4 V and a capacity of 98 Wh, or 6.8 Ah. It supports SMBus communication and the Smart Battery Specification for retrieving battery information through compatible equipment.

The integrated microcontroller records parameters including pack voltage, current draw, temperature and cycle count. A compatible eSMART power distributor uses this information to display battery status and estimated remaining runtime. The Li-98Wh provides a maximum continuous discharge current of 8 A and weighs 450 g.

Battery Monitoring with eSMART

When used with a compatible eSMART power distributor, battery capacity and estimated remaining runtime can be monitored on the distributor. The available information and display depend on the connected device. Smart monitoring requires equipment capable of receiving battery data.

Compatibility and Charging

AudioRoot confirms compatibility with eSMART BG-DH MKII, BG-DU, DUO, TRIO and K-ART power distributors. AudioRoot lists eXLR4-OUT, eHRS4-OUT and eCON-OUT among the suitable battery cables. Select the cable version that matches your equipment’s power connection.

Charging options include the AudioRoot eSMART MONO CHARGER with one charging bay, the eSMART DUAL CHARGER with two independent charging bays or the eSMART QUAD CHARGER for four batteries simultaneously.

The AudioRoot eSMART TINY-C is a compact USB-C charger. It requires a separate USB-C PPS power supply supporting 5–20 V PPS and rated at least 65 W.

Comparison with Other AudioRoot Batteries

The Li-98Wh provides 98 Wh energy capacity and SMBus communication. The Li-49Wh is the shorter and lighter version with the same nominal voltage. The neo models combine SMBus with an integrated OLED display. The LiFe models are larger LiFePO4 batteries housed in Peli cases and operate at a nominal voltage of 12.8 V.

The models also differ in connections, permitted output current and charging equipment. Check the selected model’s specifications before using a different battery in your power system.
