The Sonosax SX-AD8+ is an 8-channel mic/line preamplifier with digital AES3 outputs, designed as an expansion unit within a Sonosax recording system. It provides eight electronically balanced mic/line inputs on XLR-3F with per-channel phase reversal, 48 V phantom power and LF cut. Four transformer-balanced AES3 outputs are available on a multipin connector.

Audio is handled with 40-bit internal processing. Sonosax specifies 135 dB (A-weighted) overall dynamic range and frequency response up to 90 kHz at 192 kHz sample rate. The SX-AD8+ supports 24-bit audio at 48, 96 and 192 kHz. Control is available from the front panel, via the WiFi dynamic web interface or via the SX-R4+ interface (system integration).
