Schoeps MK 4P [131701]

The Schoeps MK 4P is a cardioid microphone capsule from the Colette series for speech recording at distances below 20 cm. Its fixed low-frequency roll-off compensates for proximity effect when used directly in front of the mouth.

During close pickup, this produces a more balanced low-frequency response for the voice. Low-frequency sound arriving from farther away is reproduced less strongly relative to the speaker. Its polar pattern is the same as that of the MK 4.
