The Schoeps MK 2 is an omnidirectional small-diaphragm condenser microphone capsule from the modular Colette series. The capsule is free-field equalized, providing a flat frequency response for frontally arriving sound. A microphone amplifier is not included.

Applications

The MK 2 is intended for instrument recording at relatively short distances. Although the capsule is omnidirectional, its orientation still matters at high frequencies, where sensitivity is not identical in every direction.
